We are joining our friends Lost Bread Co. at WHYY on October 18th for Talk And Taste. If you have ever wondered how to make bread using malt ingredients, join us for a discussion of all things rising. Learn how Lost Bread Co. creates a loaf of bread from the baker, the maltster, and the potato merchant, and taste Lost Bread Co.’s incredible products like pretzel shortbread, house-cured cheese and candied potato chips.
To celebrate, Deer Creek will be pouring the first in a series of malt beverages made in collaboration with Lost Bread. Inspired by Lost Bread Co.’s ‘Table Bread’, we brewed a ‘Table Beer’ using the same recipe of wheat, rye, spelt, & barley used to make the bread, including actual loaves of Table Bread, which were added to the mash!
