Keystone Pale is the result of more than 4 years of learning, growing, and carefully listening to feedback from the many craft food and beverage artisans who have tried our traditional floor-malted ingredients. Determined not to sacrifice quality and flavor for less labor intensive (and less costly) production methods, but eager to better align the value of our products with the needs of some customers, Keystone Pale was born. A modern American pale malt produced with the same high quality local barley as our traditional floor-germinated ingredients using mechanical methods.
We are now proud to introduce the newest member of the Pennsylvania Craft Malt Family: Keystone Pale. Notes of earth, straw, cracker, and dough. Keystone Pale is an incredibly versatile ingredient with plenty of flavor and terroir for single malted ales, lagers or whiskeys, and perfect as a base malt in more complex adjunct recipes.
